What happens during the intake?
The first intake is provided by the practitioner in charge and the second by one of our psychologists. Depending on the kind of treatment you’re looking for and the extent of the problem, a personality test will be done for complex problems to prepare the pathway for treatment. The interviews, personality test, and psychotherapy cannot be seen as separate entities.
Many clients experience the intake as pleasant and soothing, because they can arrange their problems in an organized fashion with the help of a professional. Gradually it will become clearer for you and the psychologists which therapeutic approach and which therapist will suit you best.
You have the option to stop your treatment at any given time. Stopping in a more advanced stage of your therapy is also possible. In that case, an appointment will be made with the practitioner in charge for a final evaluation.
The therapeutic value of applying and going throughout the intake process can be very enlightening to you. It is an acknowledgement of your desire for progress. It is an important first step to find out who you really are; the beginning of a personal journey through the world of your perception.
